Zucchini Loves Cool Moms

Hi there!

I am a printmaker and doodler, and owner of Zucchini & Co.  I adore fonts, letters, and words. I also love the smell of linoleum and the  touch of all kinds of paper. The eponymous Zucchini is my 6-year old doxie, I love her very much and she sits and watches me craft and drink coffee in the morning. I'm just the "& Co." part of the deal.

Please take a look at my portfolio!

I created a set of icons that you can use on your site!

I obviously like hand-drawn things in this technological world... and I got a new tablet, which makes creating hand-drawn things in Illustrator and Photoshop much easier!

I hope that you enjoy them!

Restful Sunday

It's a gray and sleepy Sunday morning... and all of this rain held off until Crafty Balboa was over! The crafty gods were smiling down on us... or else Ms. Amy Blasco is just THAT good.

I had a great time, met some fantastic people, and got to see a few good friends that I haven't seen in  a while! And, would you believe, I totally forgot to take any pictures. So, I'm going to have to scavenge around and see if there are some photos floating around that I can borrow to show you!

Now it's time to clean up, to take stock, and to get my Etsy shop back in order. That's my to-do list. Oh, and the lovely Yankee-themed invites that I am working on are in the living room, back from Print 100 and lookin' good! As of now, 60 down, 65 to go! I have to take some photos of them, too, to show you.

Guess what? Rayan at the Frugal Designer passed me some sunshine the other day, a very Happy award. It totally made my day, and as I told her, I feel like I am still just starting to feel the huge community that is the blogging world. So many talented and creative people, who are looking to support and help each other-- it is really something wonderful... So, thanks again, Rayan!

I've been a little neglectful over the past few weeks-- we are having a sad time at work, what with the governor's budget cuts and many amazing teachers basically being forced out of education... it's a sad time in public education. And all the while, I was distracted from the online world prepping for Crafty Balboa April Showers, so now I am going to focus on getting the balance back. I wish I had one of Cut & Paste Print's "Keep Calm" Posters [see at the top of the post?] hanging in front of my eyes at all times.

On that note, I will be back again soon, as creating and sharing are some of the things that keep ME calm.
